Maybe it’s not you or anybody you know working on Capitol Hill, but the data makes it clear that young people, especially college students and those who have graduated in recent years, are indeed, overall, more unhappy than previous generations.
Why is this? We live in the most prosperous, most technologically advanced and best educated era in world history. By such measures, we all should be happier than any previous generation, not unhappier.
Dennis Prager of Prager University says in the following video that the decline of values, especially those that are the product of orthodox faiths, including Judaism and Christianity, is a key factor at the root of this unhappiness.
