Recent Staff Moves, As Reported By Legistorm:
The Problem-Solvers Caucus has added Jessica Gail to its ranks as communications director, working for Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ). Now in her seventh year, this is Jessica’s fourth position on the Hill since first joining the staff of Rep. Jim Matheson (D-Utah) in 2013. She is a 2007 graduate with a BA from the University of Indiana at Bloomington in broadcast journalism and religious studies.
Holly Reagan Hinjosa is now policy adviser for Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), covering environmental protection and public lands issues. Holly is a native Texan but earned her BA in international and global studies from the University of Wyoming in 2015 and her MA in natural resources management from the University of Idaho in 2019. Holly’s Hill career began in 2016 as an intern for Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY).
Kelly Tyroler has joined the House Education and Labor Committee as a professional staff member, working for Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-VA). A native Northern Virginian, Kelly is a 2015 UVA graduate in government and American studies. Go Nats!
Michael Stranz has departed the House Agriculture Committee’s subcommittee on general farm commodities and risk management to become policy director for the National Farmers Union. It’s a return engagement as Michael was the union’s senior government relations representative from 2010 to 2014. He is a 2009 BS graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in international agriculture and natural resources.
There’s a new communications director working for Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragan (D-Calif.) and his name is Ron Eckstein. Previously, Ron has had stints with Americans for Tax Fairness, Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Rasky Partners, Inc., where he was associate vice president and a registered lobbyist. His BS was earned in 1993 in sociology from Vassar College.
Got a question about tax policy? David Bridges is who you need to see on the staff of Rep. Tom Reed (R-NY) where he is the new tax counsel. David’s law degree is from George Washington University Law School in 2013 and his BA in politics and business was earned in 2008 from the University of Dallas. He was previously doing government relations for the Kimberly-Clarke Corp. and the Edison Electric Institute.
