Two aliens from a planet orbiting Proxima Centauri, Earth’s nearest star beyond our Sun, walk into a bar in Amsterdam arguing about Rembrandt’s “The Night Watch,” which they just saw at the Rijks Museum.

After a few minutes of intense debate, one alien looks at the other and announces “say what you will, but I’m telling you this amazing art could only have been created by a great designer. I want to meet this Rembrandt human.”
At that, the other alien stares in amazement at his interstellar colleague, motions to the bartender to bring the two another round, and replies “nah, no way. This thing looks designed but it’s actually nothing more than the result of a chance encounter of materials.”
And your answer is?
What if I told you there are eight reasons one of the aliens is right and other is wrong?
In the following video, NBC Dateline’s cold-case detective J. Warner Wallace, author of “Cold-Case Christianity” and “God’s Crime Scene,” mentions four of the eight reasons he believes the appearance of design is solid evidence of a designer. It’s not all of the reasons, but it’s a good start!

If Warner listed eight attributes of *anything* in this video, I missed it. While I understand what the term “apologist” means in this sense, I think your headline writer is the one who owes an apology.

Since I am the headline writer, I’m the one with the apology. I misread something and after reviewing the video again, I see he only mentions four of the eight. I’ve edited the post to reflect this fact. Thanks for pointing this error out.

would a bird/cat/dog/giraffes say there was a design..??
birds/bees would not see a design either, tho both do create designs…
what do both designs have in common.??..both require humans to claim it is a design..

I’m not sure that birds’ nests or bees’ hives qualify as conscious designs any more than the burrow made by a prairie dog or the dam built by the beaver.
