STAFF MOVES: Look Who’s Getting Promoted!

Recent Moves, As Reported By Legistorm:

Jesus Espinoza is a Hill veteran, having previously worked for then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) as an intern and more recently as deputy press secretary for Sen. Catherine Cortez-Masto (D-Nev.) and press secretary for Rep. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.). Now he’s taking the reins as communications director for Rep. Susan Lee (D-Nev.). Espinoza is a 2016 graduate from Williams College in political science and Spanish.

Andrea Porwoll is another Hill veteran making a move up, this time to be communications director for Rep. Rick Allen (R-Ga.). Porwoll previously worked as a public affairs officer for the Department of Homeland Security and before that was press secretary for Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.). She also worked as a communications coordinator at Heritage Action for America and as an intern for Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.). She is a 2016 graduate in public relations, political science and government from Florida State University.

Hannah Barr will be keeping the trains running on time for Rep. French Hill (R-Ark.).  Hannah previously interned for Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.). She is a 2018 political science graduate from Arkansas State University, home of the much-feared Red Wolves!

Don’t Call It A ‘Beauty Pageant!’

Molly Eastman is a legislative correspondent for Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho). She is also, according to Roll Call’s Kathryn Lyons, Washington, D.C. representative in Ireland’s Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Yes, she will be wearing evening dresses and, hopefully, a winner’s tiara, but it’s not a beauty contest by any means. Eastman is from Jackson Hole in the great big state of Wyoming and she’s also an Irish citizen, in addition to being an American.

“She’s been visiting family [in Ireland] since she was a little girl, and even though you might not assume she’s Irish based on her last name, her ability to break into an unblemished brogue makes it hard to refute,” Lyons reports.
