God has already blessed HillFaith in countless ways that I never expected and one of most important of them is the number of readers like you who have chosen to follow this humble blog.
Clicking on the Follow link in the right-hand column of the homepage is all a person has to do in order to receive an alert whenever a new post appears on HillFaith. If you haven’t also followed HillFaith on its Facebook page, you can do so by going here.
There is simply no other blog anywhere on the Internet like HillFaith because its sole mission is to serve the 20,000 men and women who work on congressional staffs in two basic ways:
First, by sharing from the exploding treasure of facts, evidence and analysis that supports the literal resurrection of Jesus Christ and, second, by sharing the practical and spiritual lessons that I’ve learned from my own years working on Capitol Hill and following Christ as my Lord and Savior.
Why are these two sharing missions so vital for these 20,000 people who work for individual senators and representatives or for congressional committees?
By following HillFaith and encouraging your family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and acquaintances to follow it as well, you are helping both of us be faithful to our Lord’s Great Commission by, as Peter puts it, providing a reasonable defense of our faith.
Because Jesus claimed to be God and His literal resurrection is the most persuasive possible evidence. That fact changes everything for all of us.
And because I’m a little like the trail blazer in the Old West who knew where the dangers lurked on the trail ahead and I want to share that information with as many of these great men and women who work for Congress as I possibly can.
By following HillFaith and encouraging your family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and acquaintances to do so as well, you are helping both of us to be faithful to our Lord’s Great Commission by, as Peter puts it at 1 Peter 3:15, providing a reasonable defense of our faith.
And remember, HillFaith is a project of the 52-Week Ministry Foundation, which, with the Lord’s blessing will become my full-time job in the near future. He called me to this ministry two years ago and I know He is faithful.
For the record, the foundation’s application for tax-exempt status as a 501(C)(3) is with the IRS. I understand from our attorney, the inestimable Cleta Mitchell, that the IRS deems as deductible contributions that are received prior to the official decision is made on the ministry’s application.
So thank you in advance for joining me on this incredible mission the Lord has given us and thank you for all you do to help make more people on and off Capitol Hill aware of HillFaith and to be blessed by it.
Oh, and yes, that’s me giving the thumbs up in the photo above. As you can see in my study, I’ve accumulated a few books over the years. And I’ve even read several of them! 🙂
